For coursework, access is requested by your instructor. For independent academic work, MIT Sloan students can request Editor access. |
Your Course May Use Additional AI Tools
Some courses use AI tools selected specifically for the subject matter, assignments, or pedagogical goals of the course. These tools may not be available outside that course.
Your teaching team will provide instructions when a course requires or recommends a particular AI tool.
Use AI Responsibly
AI can be useful for brainstorming, explaining concepts, reviewing your work, analyzing information, coding, and many other tasks. It can also produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information.
- Follow the AI-use expectations for your course and each assignment or assessment..
- Check important claims, calculations, citations, and sources. Learn more about AI hallucinations and bias.
- Be thoughtful about the information and files you share with an AI tool.
Know What Data You Can Share
Be mindful of the information you share with generative AI tools. Follow MIT’s data risk classifications and AI tool guidance, as well as any privacy or confidentiality requirements that apply to your work.
Do NOT share high-risk data with any generative AI tool, including MIT-licensed tools.
