At a Glance

Canvas is MIT’s learning management system, providing access to course materials, assignments, and other academic resources.

For best performance, use Canvas on the current or previous major release of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari. Students can also access Canvas through the Canvas Student app, available for Android and iOS.

This guide walks you through accessing Canvas based on your role at MIT.

IMPORTANT: All active faculty, staff, and students must log in to Canvas with their Kerberos account, even if they are MIT Alumni.

MIT Students, Faculty, & Staff

  1. Open your web browser and go to canvas.mit.edu.
  2. Click the MIT Students, Faculty, and Staff button.

  3. Log in using your MIT Kerberos credentials.
  4. Your courses will appear on your Canvas Dashboard and the All Courses page.

MIT Alumni

  1. Open your web browser and go to canvas.mit.edu.
  2. Click the MIT Alumni button to authenticate via Infinite Connection.
    Click MIT Alumni button to log in to Canvas
  3. Enter your Infinite Connection Username [1] and Password [2] and click Login [3].

  4. Your courses will appear on your Canvas Dashboard and the All Courses page.

MIT Partners & Affiliates

MIT Partners & Affiliates include individuals affiliated with MIT Sloan through various programs, offices, and strategic partnerships, such as Global Programs.

  1. Open your web browser and go to canvas.mit.edu.
  2. Click the MIT Partners & Affiliates button.

  3. Log in using your Sloan account credentials.
  4. Your courses will appear on your Canvas Dashboard and the All Courses page.
